Dear Friends,
We are excited to offer an all-new 5-month immersion course this year called The Collective Healing Journey. This is an important course for our community and our times because it brings together the essential principles, processes, and practices for collective healing.
This includes the individual trauma practices, ancestral healing, and the collective trauma work that we’ve been developing for 20 years.
We’ll also be looking at spiritual healing principles that can connect us to higher resources and healing capacities. Working on all of these levels together as a community creates an opportunity for a powerful healing journey.
Thomas Hübl is a teacher, author, and international facilitator whose lifelong work integrates the core insights of the great wisdom traditions and mysticism with the discoveries of science. Since the early 2000s, he has been leading large-scale events and courses that focus on the healing and integration of trauma, with a special focus on the shared history of Israelis and Germans. He has been teaching workshops and trainings for Harvard Medical School since 2019.
His non-profit organization, the Pocket Project, works to support the healing of collective trauma throughout the world. He is the author of the book Healing Collective Trauma: A Process for Integrating Our Intergenerational and Cultural Wounds.
Except as indicated, Course Sessions begin at 9am L.A. / 12pm N.Y. / 6pm Berlin and last for 2 hours.
All Course Session recordings are posted in the private course portal.
*Sessions marked with an asterisk display different start and end times.

Developing the Two Human Superpowers: Presence and Relational Competence
“Thomas is a teacher in full. He embodies a vivid, piercing, utterly contemporary intelligence with the depth of ancient learning. A modern mystic, a profound heart, and a depth of compassion that bids his listener's own hearts to open. Gentle, searching, and true - his leadership evokes at once a sense of loving connection and a thrilling invitation to expand.”
— Terry Real, Founder: Relational Life Institute, Author, I Don't Want To Talk About It, and The New Rules of Marriage
“Thomas Hübl’s exploration of collective trauma strikes at a core issue confronting our modern civilization.”
— Gabor Maté, Author, In The Realm of Hungry Ghosts: Close Encounters With Addiction
“I have found Thomas Hübl’s work with collective healing to be tremendously innovative and eye-opening. This type of engagement with what appears to be 'other' is what we need, in my opinion, to learn what it truly means to take multiple perspectives and live in an open-hearted way.”
— Tami Simon, Founder and publisher, Sounds True
“When Thomas Hübl teaches, a clean, fresh, spacious clarity naturally opens up in and among people—shifting the energy of the room. His presence functions as a kind of permission, and the group field opens in a beautiful, unmistakable way.”
— Terry Patten, Author, A New Republic of the Heart
“Thomas Hübl is a spiritual teacher for our time, illumined and practical, rational and deeply profound. He is at once sharp and cutting, yet gentle, receptive, and compassionate. You can’t help but expand in his presence.”
— Diane Musho Hamilton, Author, The Zen of You and Me and Everything Is Workable
“Thomas Hübl enables people to come into a deeper understanding of presence, compassion, transparency and authenticity. He shows us how to link our developing self-awareness with our potential to be of service in society.”
— Scilla Elworthy, Author, The Business Plan for Peace and Co-Founder, Rising Women, Rising World
In the past, many of the methods and processes developed in the field of trauma work have been focused on individuals and families. However, recent crises and events have brought to the forefront the importance of seeing how trauma resides in larger fields of awareness, such as ancestral, community, and societal levels.
The world is waking up to the fact that we live in an interdependent system and to the importance of bringing the collective dimension into healing work. This is a new movement that we call The Collective Healing Journey and is at the forefront of how humanity can come together to evolve and grow.
How do we move from being aware that we are on this journey together to being active participants in the collective healing movement?
What tools, practices, competencies, and skills do we need to acquire and embody if we are to be successful?
Join us for this 5-month intensive where we will explore:
How to awaken from the seen or unseen trauma that we were born into
How we can create healing energy fields and facilitate healing communities
The daily tools and practices that increase our healing capacity
Unleashing the power of the I/We interdependence in life and society
This will be a highly experiential journey where we will be creating the space for exploration and application of these ideas and processes.
Inside our intensive we will look at a full Trauma Integrating Continuum, that helps define the different stages of trauma. Often individuals, groups, and the larger society get stuck at some point on this trauma continuum.
We will look at how we can consciously move people and groups toward integration and restoration. The following are the different stages:
A program for therapists, coaches, health practitioners, group leaders, and anyone who is ready to explore collective healing processes and practices to be of greater service in the world.
Thomas Hübl presents:
A 5-Month LIVE Online Intensive to Learn Principles and Practices for Integrating Individual, Ancestral, and Collective Trauma
Registration for this course is now closed.
“This is the time to engage in individual, ancestral, and collective healing, and be part of the collective healing journey of humanity.”
Thomas Hübl
“Every one of us who is working to help others is the embodiment of the self-healing mechanism of humanity. We each play a part in activating the global immune system.”
THOMAS HÜBL
"When I make steps in my life towards healing, healing makes steps towards me."
Thomas Hübl
During our sessions, we will be sharing many of the methods and processes for personal and collective healing. You will be asked to participate in journaling, meditations, sensing exercises, and group exercises so that you can embody and live these practices in your life. This program is a starting point for our more advanced training that teaches how to facilitate these practices for others.

Video Teaching 1: Cultivating Space
It’s essential to create the right environment for healing, and space is an essential component. Cultivating space allows us to contemplate, digest, detox, and bring awareness to address and heal collective trauma.
Video Teaching 2: Bringing Space, Energy, and Structure into Alignment
When our inside and our outside don’t feel fully synchronized, it’s hard to embody our purpose; we feel we have more potential than the way we live our life. This is why it’s important to bring space, energy, and structure into alignment.
Video Teaching 3: Training and Integrating the Scanner Function of Our Nervous System
Being together is the prerequisite for subtle capacities like presence. Presence creates synchronization and attunement. When a group tunes in with each other, they become a tremendous healing resource.
Video Teaching 4: Moving from Numbness and Absence to Presence
When we are hurt or traumatized, inner coherence is fragmented. Numbness is one symptom of trauma. Presencing and relational awareness are the remedy that creates space for collective healing.
Guided Meditation 1: Discover Your Leading Edge of Exploration
This grounding meditation guides you to presence awareness, starting with a sense of calmness and relaxation, leading to a state of inner stillness and expansion.
You’ll also have an opportunity to reflect on what motivates or calls you to participate in this course, and contemplate your leading edge of exploration.
Guided Meditation 2: Listening to Your Inner Connection
Take 20 minutes to contemplate your experience during the COVID pandemic. What’s the experience in your body? What’s the experience in your emotional experience? What’s your mind doing with it?
You’ll also have the opportunity to reflect on the resources and support you need as Thomas guides you to listen to your inner connection.

- Michelle W., PhD Candidate, Mum, Wife, Daughter, Sister of Many, Onion Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada, Treaty 6 Territory, Homeland of the (Plains) Cree and Metis First Nations
Through our work together we will refer to the book, Healing Collective Trauma: A Process for Integrating Our Intergenerational and Cultural Wounds and specifically at the IAC (Individual, Ancestral, Collective) Trauma Integration Process. The three processes that make up the system are 1) Individual Trauma Integration Process, 2) Ancestral Trauma Integration Process, and 3) Collective Trauma Integration Process.
We will dedicate entire sessions to each of these different processes and talk about how they relate to one another. It is important to note that the intent is to present the high-level framework and applications of these three trauma integrating processes and not to teach how to facilitate the processes, which is the subject of more advanced training.
Through this course, we will be prototyping what it means to be in a healing community.
Here is an overview of the course curriculum:
During the course, five guest speakers including Dr. Fania Davis, William Ury, Dr. Kamilah Majied, Christina Bethell, PhD, and Otto Scharmer will contribute to our exploration of these topics.
This course will be experiential in nature and we will move through many practices and processes as a group to expand our capacities and competencies for healing. The goal is to become a living embodiment of what we learn inside the course and to apply it within our work, relationships, and daily life.
The collective healing movement means becoming part of the answer to the current pressing issues of our time. If this speaks to you, we hope you will join us.
In appreciation,
Thomas Hübl
P.S. As we learn and integrate collective healing, as individuals and as a society we will be more able to stay generous in times of scarcity, and connected in times of fragmentation. There is no more important work that we can be doing together at this time.
– Lucy L., British Columbia, Canada
“I found the course sessions to be very engaging, sometimes very moving, and stirring insights and new perspectives. I felt impressed that Thomas and the Team were able to hold so many of us at once during these sessions. Everything was so well organized and cared for it generated trust in the program and those holding it.”
- Prashant G., Leadership Development Specialist, Asheville, NC, USA
“I found the course sessions Fantastic. Positive. Deep. It's a powerful theme, very alive in the collective. I wanted to become more informed and get to know Thomas' teaching more.”
- Lisa C., Holistic Kinesiologist, Mind-Body Practitioner, EFT Practitioner, Sydney, Australia
“I appreciated so much in the course... but overwhelmingly the energetic necessity to connect, listen, feel.... My familial and cultural conditioning has given me certain views that I need to open up to new ideas, different constructs and perspectives... to sit with the pain of change and allow it... collectively.”
You will receive a personal login to an easy-to-use website where you can access all of the course materials. You will be able to watch and download the video and audio recordings, guided meditation audios, drawings, and transcripts for each course session after the live session is recorded. Supplemental materials will also be posted that can help you to integrate the teachings and practices explored in the course.
Join Thomas and special guest speakers for a deep exploration of The Collective Healing Journey. These 10 LIVE sessions will create a WE space and conscious container to align the energy of the group and to explore how we can heal as a community. Each Live course session will include teachings, practices, and time for interactive Q&A between Thomas and participants. All sessions are recorded so you will be able to quickly catch up if you are not able to attend live.
(10 two-hour Sessions)
After completing the course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion signed by Thomas Hübl upon request.
- Steven S., Consultant, Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
“Very helpful to connect with people all over the world and hear their traumas and realize we are all dealing with traumas.”
- Meheret F., Administrative Assistant and Victim Advocate, Santa Fe, NM, USA
“After participating in the Collective Trauma Summit I was motivated and excited by the opportunity to join the immersion course offered. I had hoped to be a counsellor after my training in psychotherapy but I found myself burned out and had no motivation to continue with the licensing process. The Summit ignited my interest again; it gave me another way to look at what my work could look like. It opened a new possibility and gave me much hope for myself as well as for the work I hope to do.”
- David W., Author and Consultant, Bainbridge Island, Washington, USA
“I appreciated the ‘opening of eyes’, ears and heart to the trauma of others - especially the realities of systemic racism, colonialism, and other domains of trauma that differ from my own (as a white male). Learning to deepen my capacity for witnessing and feeling into the realities and experiences of others. Since anger is an emotional trigger for me, staying present as anger was expressed was a real learning and growth opportunity for me.”
- Placide U., Social Activist, Kigali-Rwanda
“I was tired of wounds I held for so many years, living with trauma, depression, and isolation. I signed up because I wanted to heal myself and feel life and Forgive my Self.”
You will get immediate access to an exclusive online community discussion group (not Facebook). This is the place to connect with fellow Collective Healing participants, share your experiences and insights, and be inspired by the reflections of others. This group will be the community’s “home base” throughout the course, where you will meet like-minded people in your own local area and from around the world.
Here’s What You’ll Receive in the Course
